Although our hearts are heavy, we celebrate her life and know that she is with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Brenda Joyce Holt was born in Manchester, Georgia on October 1, 1949 the daughter of Will Dennis and Thelma Holmes. At an early age Brenda Joyce accepted Christ as Savior. Anyone who met her could quickly see the value she placed on her faith, her family, and caring for others. She is known by her fun loving spirit and sharp wit; she could make all of us laugh. Brenda Joyce was a kind person who helped many of her neighbors and friends. She had a generous spirit and could be found driving someone to the grocery store, encouraging someone through difficult times, and keeping the peace among those around her. Her love of cooking was not just reserved for her family but one of her greatest joys was to prepare a delicious meal for a sick friend. She found happiness in doing simple things: listening to music, gardening, reading a good book, enjoying her favorite crime show, or dancing with her grandchildren to Luther Vandross.
