Hamp Hollins was born on August 12, 1902 in Randolph County, Georgia, to the parentage of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Ho 11 ins. 
He received his early education in Randolph County, Georgia and Albany, Georgia. 
He joined the Benevolence A. M. E. Church in Randolph County at an early age. Upon his arrival in Macon, Georgia he joined St. Paul A. M. E. Church and served faithfully. 
His survivors include: a devoted wife, Mrs. Bessie L. Hollins; one daughter, Miss Doris E. Hollins, Macon. Three sons, Hamp Hollins, Jr., Tallahassee, Florida, Willie J. Hollins, Macon, and Thomas R. Hollins, Newark, New Jersey. Three sisters, Mrs. Halvin Baldwin, Mrs. Rosa Dennard, Mrs. Mamie Kizzie, all of Macon. Four brothers, David Hollins , Cleveland, Ohio, Richard and Theo Hollins, both of Macon and Andrew Hollins of Columbus, Georgia. Three daughters in-law, Mrs. Mildred T. Hollins, Tallahassee, Florida, Mrs.Margaret T. Hollins, Macon, Georgia and Mrs , Ida R. Hollins, Newark, New Jersey. Two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Mamie Hollins, Macon, and Mrs. Katheryn Hollins, Asbury Park, New Jersey. One brother-in-law, Rufus Kizzie, Macon. Four grand children, Deborah and Tonya A. Hollins, both of Tallahassee, Florida, Quintella D. Hollins, Newark, New Jersey and Theodus H. Hollins, Laurel Hill, Florida. Ten nephews and fourteen nieces and a host of relatives and friends.
