 On May 15, 2010, Pearlie M. Harris transitioned to be with the Lord. Pearlie Missouri Harris, born May 1, 1926 in Lovejoy, Georgia to the late Jimmy Lee Wooten and Pearl Miller Wooten. She was the sixth of eight children who preceded her in death. Her mother passed at a very early age, so her father later married Mary Frances Thomas (affectionately called Mama/Grandma Mary). Mother Harris was married to the late Rev. Freddie L. Harris, who also preceded her in death. To that union, four children were born: Willie J. Harris, Samuel Harris, Dollie Harris Lynn, and Helen Harris Reynolds. 
She attended school in Georgia for a while and later attended school in Chicago, Illinois before returning to Georgia and marrying the late Rev. Freddie L. Harris. A former member of Beulah Baptist Church, she joined Mt. Olive Baptist Church in the early forties to be with her husband. As a member of Mt. Olive, Mother Harris faithfully worked on several ministries: Usher Board, Mother Board, Mission, and she taught Sunday School. When her husband became a minister, she left to be with him at other churches where he was called to pastor. When Rev. Harris passed away, she moved back to Mt. Olive as an active member and joined the Mother Board. 
Mother Harris leaves to mourn Mama Mary Frances Thomas; four children, Willie J. Harris (Brenda), Samuel Harris, Dollie Harris Lynn, and Helen Harris Reynolds (Sylvester); ten grand children, Dwayne, Kim, Donta, Tony, Bridgette, Tawana, Eric, Shannon, Diamond, and Torrey; eleven great-grand children, Mario, Jasmine, Justin, Destiny, Kamryn, Kaylon, BreAnna, Denzel, Malik, Elise, and China; one great-great grandchild, Carson; a very special niece, Mattie P. Gresham; one brother-inlaw, Israel Mathis; other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
