Roscoe Hardeman 
1919-2004 
Roscoe Hardeman was born April 6, 1919 in Mansfield, Georgia; Jasper County to the late Mr. & Mrs. Wille Hardeman. He was married to Evelyn Cooper of Newton County, Oxford, Georgia on January 6, 1946. Evelyn preceded him in death. Of this union was born six children; one son and five daughters. He was a devoted husband and father, with his family and serving the Lord being his utmost ooncern. 
Roscoe joined Turner Monumental A.M.E Church under the leadership of Rev. C.C. Hughes, where he remained a member for over 30yrs. Roscoe fulfilled the scripture, "I'd rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my Lord". He was an usher and served a steward on Steward Board Number 2. He will be missed at Turner for his "bubble gum and smile". He served as a Corporal, Company A 81Qt:h Engineers Aviation in World War II for the US Army. He was a machine operator at Mead Packing Co. for 25yrs. 
He spent his leisure time with his faithful dog, Rexy of 14yrs, bringing true meaning to the phrase "Man's best friend" and spreading the light and love of God to his family, friends and community with his unselfish, unconditional, pure and genuine love. 
He leaves to mourn his passing and to cherish his memory; Seven children; son Mr. Alfred R. Hardeman; Mrs. Evelyn M. Stephens; Ms Brenda L. Hardeman; Mr. & Mrs. Lula Jones (Byron); Mrs. Janet E. Knight; Mr. & Mrs. Barbara Terrell (Anderson); Mr. & Mrs. Shirley Patterson (John); 15 Grandchildren, 15 GreatGrandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
