As a young man he attended Washington High School where he met his flrst wife Mable Adeline Green. From this union he was blessed with a daughter and son, Martha Rachel Grogan and William Preston Grogan III. William following the career path of his father worked as a master dry cleaner and fabric weaver over the years for several high end es- tablishments in greater Atlanta. He was preceded in death by wife, parents, son, and granddaughter Minka Rachelle Grogan.
