Hercules Pastor Bishop Donald George Kenneth Ming Officiating Obituary Reverend Frank Mancefield Gray On April 6, 1928 the home of the late Frank and Melaine Gray was ~essed with their fourtt son, Frank Mancefield Gray. He later moved to Taylor County where he received his early and secondary education. He later attended Georgia College and Ttrner Seminary. Upon moving to the Ben Hill section of Atlanta he joined Cotil Bethel A.M.E. Church, where he worked faithfuNy, until he reported to active military service in 1950. FoUov.;ng his honorary discharge in 1952 he returned and gainfuHy became employed with the U.S. Postal Service, where he served as a Postman for twenty one years, and accepted his call to ministry in the AME Church, where he served for over thirty two years. In 1959 he married h fonner Ms. Ullie Mae Taylor to this union two sons were bom, Terence Renard Gray and Frank Mancefield Gray, Ill wtlch JJeceeded him in death. His life was dedicated to serving humanity no matter who they were, nor, what he would receive in return. His goal was to help. Hs heart of love made an impact on youth and elder1y in all walks of life, and also ena~ him to be a successful pastor in 1he AME Crurch. He served seven charges in his pastoral career: Marietta Chapel, Ek)wah Circuit, Salem in Vinings, Alen Chapel in Calloun, Fidelity in Atlanta, Mt. Carmel il Aaanta and the Hogansville Circuit 0\mg the 119th Session of the AUanta North Ga. Conference he retired from the pasaate and beccrne the Associam Pastor of Saint Paul A.M.E Ctudl, Maoon, Ga. He leaves to cherish his labor of untiring love adevoted wife- Mrs. lillie Mae Gray, 4 chilaen- Rev. & t.ts. calvin Gray, Ms. ErmaJ. Gray Searcy, Rev. &Mrs. Terence Gray a special adopted son- Mr. &Mrs. Willie Adams, five grandchildren- Gerald, Travis, June, Jocelyn &JuHenne, three brothers - Mr. &Mrs. Hallie Arnett Gray, Sr., Rev. & Mrs. H. L. Gray & Mr. Eugene Gray, a host of alllts, lllcles, ~~ rieoos, cousins and friends. Life Is Eternal If we did not go to sleep at night we'd never awaken to see the light And the joy of watching a new day break or meeting the dawn by some quiet lake would never be ours unless we slept while GOD and all his angels kept a vigil through this "little death" that's over with the morning's breath. And dea~ too, is a time of sleeping, for those who die are in God's keeping and there's a "sunrise" for each soul, for life not death is God's promised goaL So trust God's promise and doubt Him never for only through death can man live forever!
