There's an open gate at the end of the road Through which each must go alone; And there is a light we cannot see Our father claims his own. Beyond the gate your loved one Finds Happiness and rest And there is comfort in the thought That a loving God knows best. 
 
Mr. Willie joe Gamble, Sr. was born April 20, 1926 in Talbot County to the late Rev. Willie Henry, and Carrie Lou Gamble. 
 
He was united in Holy Matrimony to Mrs. Mattie Lee Hall Gamble to this union 4 children were born. 
 
He moved to Hogansville, Ga. in 1964 where he became a member of St. Paul A. M. E. Church and a member of Rising Star #5. 
 
He leaves to mourn his passing a mother Carrie L. Gamble, a wife, Mattie Gamble, four children, Willie joe, Grover, Carolyn, and Phillip and twelve grandchildren, eight great grand children, one sister, Annie R. Cooper (Brother-in-law) Willie Cooper, two brothers, Samuel Gamble, (Sister-in-law) Ann Gamble, Thomas Gamble, uncle, julius C. Owens, Akron, Oh., aunts, Willie j. Terry, Springgarden, NY., Sara Copeland, Toledo, Oh, Maudie B. Terry, Woodland, Ga., a devoted loving friend, Mrs. Lola Barnes and family, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. 
 
Crossing the Bar Sunset and evening star And one clear call for Me! May .there be no mourning of at Bar, When 1 put out to Sea.
