On March 29, 1929 Louise and Clifford McDonald celebrated the life of their child Alice McDonald. Alice was one out of 12 children Louise and Clifford was blessed with. She was born and raised in Fernandina Beach, Florida. Alice then aUended Peck High School. 
Alice relocated from Fernandina Beach, Florida with her Sister Mildred Hutchins to New York city. Her childhood sweetheart Archie Felder from Jacksonville, Florida followed her in the mid 40's. They created an everlasting union in love. Archie and Alice Felder were married for 46 years; until his untimely death in 1995. 
From this union they had three beautiful children Carolyn Harrison, Gloria Felder and one son the late George Felder. Alice was born and raised in the catholic religion. She later converted to the Baptist faith and was a dedicated and faithful member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church for over 40 years. Alice was employed at the Board of Education as a Supervisor ofpurchasing food supplies. She retired from the Board of Education after 20 years of dedicated service. 
After retiring Alice loved traveling and spending time with her family and friends. With her style and grace and giving heart she saw fit to play an active role within her community as a member of the Block Associations She was also a very active member in multiple organizations such as the Sophisticated Ladies of New York, the Get Together Group where she was Vice-President, and a member of the Harvey E. Paisley Scholarship Club and a host of others. 
On Monday July 12, 2010 the Lord and Savior called his child home to be with Him. Alice leaves to mourn her two Sisters A/bertha Anderson, Janette Mobley, four brother-in-laws, Otis Mobley, Richard Anderson, Clarence Felder, Vincent Valentine. Two daughters Carolyn Harrison and Gloria Felder. One son-in-law Arnold Harrison, one Daughter-in-law Kimberly Felder. Five grandchildren Craig Brothers, Kareem Brothers, Micheline Brothers, Nitesha Felder and Porchia McGriff Eleven Great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Very close and dear friends Evelyn Skeete, Lucille Tompkins and Ruby Sanders and a host of others. 
Alice was a beloved mother, grandmother and friend and will be missed by all. Prayerfully submiUed by the family.

She Lived Deep She never stopped learning, playing Or finding wonder In the world around her. She lived the length of her life, But lived it with depth of it as well. 
She Traveled Light She knew there was no use in carrying around Worry or regrets. They would only weigh her down. She always kept herself open To hope and to love. They gave her wings. 
She Forgave Imperfections In herselfand in others. Imperfections kept things interesting. She knew the cracks were Where the light shined through. 
 
And not just to keep in the drawer, Tucked away for a perfect day. She surrounded herself with things That made her happy, that reminded her Ofthe beauty all around us If we keep our eyes open to it. 
She Made Mistakes And followed detours. Sometimes it took unexpected turns To help her find the life that was waiting for her around the bend. She trusted in herselfand the path that was meant for her. 
She Took Care O(Herself And sometimes that meant She need her ice cream. She was good to her body, But also her mind, spirit and soul. She knew she was the only one who could. 
Nana Always, Always Know You Are Loved You were a gift to this world And a blessing to me And that will never change.
