Ruth Gwendolyn Douglas, the first born 
to the late Dr. WilliamS. Douglas and Mrs. Eunice Beatty Douglas on November 13, 
1941 in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The Angels of mercy carried her to her final home, on April18, 1996 at eight-thirty in the morning at the Sibley Hospital. 
She attended Spartanburg District Seven Schools, Palmer's Memorial Institution in Sedalia, N.C., Fisk University in Nashville, Tenn., and Howard University in Washington, D.C. 
Ruth was a Micro Biologist with the Environmental Protection Agency in Washington D.C. 
She leaves loving and unforgettable memories to a sister, Jacqueline Douglas Farr; a brother, WilliamS. (Billy) Douglas, 
Jr., of the home; aunts, Mrs. Ruth Owens of Jackson, Miss., Mrs. Gladys K. Douglas of 
Spartanburg, S.C., Betty Lark of Columbia, S.C., Nita Monson of Springfield, Mass., And Frances Wright of Detroit, Mich; uncles, James A. Beatty of Charleston, S.C., J.D. Beatty and Bill Lark, both of Columbia, S.C., 
Dr. J. Marion Douglas of Spartanburg, S.C., and Dr. George Owens of Jackson, Miss.; 
two nephews, Joe C. Farr, m of Durham, 
N.C., and Jason Douglas Farr of Spartanburg, S.C., and a host of other cousins and friends.
