L. Blackshear, Pastor Emeritus, Eulogist ~~~S~2010 On May 19, 1961, God placed in the hands of Charlie (C.T.) Thomas and Mary Ann Dodson, two precious jewels. One of these twins was named, Angela Dodson. This was a joyful day! Angela was affectionally called "Yo-Yo" by her family and friends. Life was filled with laughter and love whenever she was around. Angela dedicated her life to Christ when she was in elementary school. She was baptized at Greater Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and loved attending services and singing in the choir. Angela later became a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. "Yo-Yo" attended W. H. Crogman Elementary School, W. L. Parks Middle School and graduated from L. J. Price High School in 1979. Later, she received an associate degree from Rutledge Business College. Angela was most proud of her daughter, Mercedez. They spent countless hours laughing, talking and developing a unique and unconditional bond. She was extremely close to her twin brother, Tony and loved to kick it with her younger sister, Gayla. Her older brother, Reuben was her "road dog". "Yo-Yo" was always the life of the family. She enjoyed dancing with her mother. In fact, no one could get her mother to dance like "Yo-Yo" could. Their mother-daughter relationship was like none other. The absolute love of"Yo-Yo's" life was her father, "C. T.", who predeceased her in 1977. We are all comforted in knowing that she has gone to be with him now. Angela leaves to cherish her memory; her loving and devoted mother, Mary Ann Dodson; the joy of her life- her daughter, Mercedez Dodson; the other part of her - her twin brother, Anthony Dodson; her precious younger sister, Gayla Dodson; two wonderful brothers, Reuben Glass and Lorenzo Jordan; her finance', Clarence Armstrong; five nieces, ShaWanda Allen, Nakela Jackson, Angela Stovall, Ashley Stovall and Taylor Jordan; two nephews, Kevin Dodson and Jermaine Jordan; The Jones Family; devoted friends just like family, Beverly Miller, Stephanie Nolan and Vickie Shields; and a host of other relatives and friends.
