Black, Pastor 2340 Clifton Springs Road Decatur, Georgia 30034 Llf-[ R[f-L[CTIOn Vicki Dixon-Binns (affectionately known as "Peaches") was born in Paris, Texas on October 12, 1955 to Ralph Buckner and Barbara Dixon. Vicki graduated from Paris High School in 1974, and furthered her education by graduating from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana in 1979. While attending IU, Peaches pledged to be a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. in 1977. Vicki graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Education. She went on to work in many administrative roles throughout her career as well as always continuing her love of socialization by working part-time jobs in retail. Shortly after graduating from IU, Vicki married Ellery Binns on March 13, 1980 in Gary, Indiana. After their first year of marriage Vicki and Ellery were blessed with their first baby girl Erikka Binns in 1981. Seven years later they were blessed again with their second baby girl Eliyse Binns in 1988. Because of Ellery's participation in the United States Air Force, Vicki was able to travel to different states around the country. One of her favorite places was Montana. After living in Montana for four years, Vicki moved to Texas and later to Lithonia, Georgia, where she lived for thirteen years. While in Dekalb County, Georgia, she continued to meet many new people and gained many lifelong and loyal friends. During the early months of 2012, Vicki received news that she would be a grandmother for the first time. On September 13, 2012, the family welcomed the very first granddaughter, Alerie Tegan Davis, into the world. Vicki was blessed to visit and spend wonderful moments with her granddaughter. Vicki was a very caring and loving person ''who did not meet a stranger." She was a very warm and inviting individual who always lent an ear and a shoulder to cry on, whether it was to her family or friends. Vicki will truly be missed and will always remain in our prayers and hearts. This is not a goodbye, but a simple "~yow la.t:er." Vicki leaves behind her mother; Barbara Looney, her former husband and best friend; Ellery Binns, two daughters; Erikka and Eliyse Binns, a beautiful granddaughter; Alerie Tegan Davis, two brothers; Marcus Dixon and Gerald Looney, and the family's cherished canine companion, Shih Tzu: izmo Rock Binns.
