C. Carter Officiating bituar~ George Oliver Day, Sr. was born to Mr. and Mrs. Eli Day on May 25, 1917 in Social Circle, Georgia. His early years were spent there along with two brothers and one sister until the family moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1919. George became the loving and devoted husband of Mildred Conkle on February 14, 1939 and to this union one son was born. Mr. Day, Sr. leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Mildred Conkle Day; one son, George, Jr.; two brothers, Horace Day and Marion Day; two nieces, Carolyn Elizabeth Butts Ervin, and Harriet D.
