Reverend Calvin Cox, Sr. was born on June 28, 1950 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Mr. Eddie C. and Theresa Harvey Cox. Growing up in the Pittsburgh Community, Calvin was raised by Leonard (Big Daddy) and Nannie Mae (Big Mama) Cox, his grandparents who also preceded him in death. 
 
Calvin, Sr. was a product of the Atlanta Public School System. He was employed by Lockheed Martin as an Aircraft Mechanic for over 32 years. Calvin was an outstanding employee receiving multiple awards and accolades for his dedication and hard work. He was also the Founder and CEO of Covenant Investments and the Pastor of True Vine Community Church. 
 
He loved to fish and minister to the community and had the gift of gab. His ultimate joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He departed this life Thursday, April21, 2016. 
 
Calvin, Sr. was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, cousin and friend. 
 
He leaves to cherish his memory, a devoted wife, Beatrice West Cox; three children, Cartesha Cox, Calvin Cox, Jr. (Tamara Mack-Cox), and Stacie C. Cox; grandchildren, Pastor Cortez J. Harris, Calvin Cox III, Tyra C. Cox, Caelan J. R. Cox, Cason J. Cox, and Caleb J. Cox; sisters, Prophetess Priscilla Garnett, Evangelist Janice Moore, Judy Franks, and Eddie Mae Gray (Ricardo); brothers, Mr. Sherman McCord, Mr. Eddie Lee Cox, Deacon James (Chip) Franks, Mr. Maurice (Chuckie) Franks, and Mr. Herbert Cox, Sr. (Edith); aunt, Ms. Roberta Cox; cousins/brothers, Curtis Cox (Patricia) and Lester Cox; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
