A Tribute to Grandma Effortless beauty. Unconditional love. Selflessness. Warmth. Wisdom. These words embody every bit of your essence and what a great gift it was to have been able to experience your unconditional love and bask in your light. Those moments, so dear, always cherished . In retrospect, I'm often left wondering did we remember to thank you enough for all that you had done for us. For all the times you were by our sides to help and support us, with warm embraces in which to find comfort. To celebrate our successes, with lots of encouragement and laughter. To understand our problems and accept our defeats and for teaching us by your example, the value and meaning of hard work, good judgment, courage and integrity. 1wonder if we ever thanked you enough for the sacrifices you made. To let us have the very best and need not a thing more. And for those simple things, those lovely simple things, like loud laughter, warm smiles, pickled peaches and homemade banana pudding in the summer and the many memories we made and shared. If we at any time forgot to show our gratitude for all the things you did, we're thanking you now. Although I'm sure you knew just how much you were loved and appreciated all along and even still. You will be missed dearly, Grandma. Rest In Paradise. We Love You! Your Godchildren, Alma & Christian Chaufee Pallbearers Toney Griffin ~ Tony Haney ~ Jim Miller Von Logan ~ Ray Thompson S. J. Belinda McCastle, Associate Pastor Officiating Sunset August 6, 2014 Louise Cornelius was born August 6, 1920 in Atlanta, Georgia. She was a faithful mother and a wonderful friend. On August 6, 2014, the sweet spirit of Louise Cornelius went home to be at rest with the Lord. Although her earthly temple has been dissolved, her soul is in a place of eternal peace and rest. Her latter days began to be challenging due to a decline in her health. God looked over his vast garden of flowers, and then he picked a beautiful rose to add to his heavenly flower garden. Louise Cornelius and her lovely daughters were a chain that could not be broken. Although Mother is gone, she will never be forgotten. Her warm smile and thoughtfulness will never be forgotten. To know her was to love her. She leaves to cherish her memory two lovely daughters, Bettye Cornelius, Nancy Knox; two nieces, Sheryl Tillman and Martha Simmons; one nephew, James (Sampson) Cornelius; one great niece, Audris Tillman, godchildren Alma Chaufee, Christian Chaufee and Landria Lewis and other devoted relatives, family and friends. "A Grandmother's Spirit" God looked around His garden And found an empty place He then looked down on Earth And saw her tired face . So he closed her weary eyelids And brought her to his peaceful place . The smile of an angel is happier than the rest The flutter of the breeze brings laughter to my neck A Grandmother/s spirit is obviously blessed. You can shed tears that she is gone Or you can smile because she has lived . Your heart can be empty because you cannot see her Or you can be so full of love that it spills. You can cry and close your mind Be empty and turn your back Or you can do what she/d want: Smile, Live, and be your Best.
