Coofey Sunset: October 18, 2003 Bernard was called to rest by God, on Saturday evening, October 18 at Floyd Medical Center, Rome, Georgia. He was born to Mrs. Bertha Pritchett Gainor and the late Robert L. Cooley, February 6, 1947 in Cartersville, Georgia. Bernard was a member of St. Luke A.M.E. Church since infancy, and served faithfully when possible. He used his talent working in the church as needed. Nothing was to hard for him to try. Working with food and decorating were his jobs. He was a member of the church Praise Team and The Sons of Allen. He showed love for his church family and all that knew him. His education was received at Summer Hill High School, a 1965 graduate. He leaves to cherish his memories: a devoted mother, Mrs. Bertha Pritchett Gainor; and loving aunts, Mrs. Mamie P. Smith, Mrs. Loraine Edmundson, Mrs. Mary G. Moore, Mrs. Jenell Permenter, and Mrs. Alma Darwin; his god-mother, Mrs. Ora Henderson Rogers; and god-son, Byrice Cook; uncles, Mr. Frank Gary (Nita), .Mr. Ester Miles Gary (Jeanette), and Mr. Clarence McCorkle, Sr. (Lillie Mae); devoted friends, Mr. Sam11ell\.1oscs, Mr. and M...rs.
