 OBITUARY 
Henry Idus "Pete" Collins, Jr. was hom July 30, 1925 in Macon, Georgia to the parentage of the late Henry Idus Collins, Sr. and Ida Bell Collins and departed this life January 21, 1987. 
Mr. Collins was a native of' Macon, Georgia and a graduate of Ballard High School jti 1945. He received further training at the Veterans 'ITaining School in Macon where he received certification as a tailor. 
During World War II Pete served valiantly and received the Purple Heart and Distinguished Service ribbons for outstanding service in the South Pacific Theatre. 
Pete was an active participant in life. He joined the St. Paul A.M.E. Church at an early age where he served faithfully as a steward, a member of the senior choir, the Gospel Chorus and the Male Chorus. 
Singing was an important part of his life. Pete was a member of the Gladys Williams and the George Fuller Bands and the Melba Lodge No. 555 I.B.P.O.E. of W., Macon, Georgia and the Monsuier and Mesdames Club. 
He was employed at Macon Tent and Awning Company for 23 years. 
He leaves to mourn his passing: his devoted and loving wife, Mrs. Etta Gay Collins; two daughters, Mrs. Helen C. Carter and Mrs. Gilda C. Carlos of San Francisco, California; a son, Mr. Donald Walker of Macon, Georgia; one brother, Mr. Wyatt Ulysses Collins of New Port News, Virginia; an uncle, Frank Gray of Gray, Georgia; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Patricia Walker; four grandchildren, Tony Carlos, San Francisco, California; Sean Walker, Donna Walker and Shaundra Walker, Macon, Georgia; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Daisy Horton; two nieces, Deborah Sabrina Collins, Richmond, Virginia, Zelma Wyvette Collins, Newport News, Virginia; three brothers-in-law, Mr. Emett Davis, Union City, California, Mr. Ed Davis and Mr. Wilbert Davis, Hyattsville, Maryland and five sistersin-law, Mrs. Bessie Collins, Newport News, Virginia, Mrs. Dorothy Morris, Chicago, Illinois, Mrs. Evelyn Davis, Hyattsville, Maryland, Mrs. Pearl Davis, Oxen Hill, Maryland and Mrs. Molly Davis, Union City, California and a host of other relatives and friends.
