P/J~ ~ P/JaftUd ~~ 1481 Jonesboro Road Atlanta, Georgia Reverend Robert Rice, Jr., Pastor Officiating Horace Chapple was born on March 18, 1946 the youngest of twelve children of the late Georgia Chapple. At two months old, Horace's mother passed away leaving him to be reared by his eldest sister and brother-in-law, the late Mary Chapple Leslie and Marvin Leslie. Horace attended Lena Jean Campbell Elementary School and Luther Judson Price High School. While at Price High School he was very active in the chorus and drama club. At an early age Horace united with Brown Avenue Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Richard H. Milner. During his Christian experience he served as Sunday School Supertendent, Choir Soloist, Teacher, Youth Mentor and Trustee. Horace was united in marriage to the late Betty Patterson. To this marriage they had two daughters, Pamela and Joneva Chapple. After intermittent bouts of illness, Horace departed this life at the Roosevelt Institute of Rehabilitation in Warm Springs, Georgia. He is survived by two daughters; a step-son; five brothers; two sisters; a devoted niece and a host of other relatives and friends.
