Carter, a life -long resident of Macon, fell into eternal sleep on early Saturday morning after a long beautiful and fruitful life in this world. She was born in M aeon to the parentage of the late Rev. Lawrence F. Garey and Mrs. Lizzie Laws Garey, who passed away some years ago. At an early age she was converted and joined the Saint Paul A.M .E. Church, and her membership remained until her health caused her no longer to attend . Yet, she remembered her church. Her profession was business Ed ., where she was able to work as cashier clerk for the Atlanta Life Insurance Company . While there she worked for a number of years and her health caused her to retire. She is su rv iv ed by: a sister-in -law , Mrs. El izabeth Garey; one nephew , Mr. Herman H. Ware of Chicago; four nieces: Mrs . Mable Ware Bonner of Macon, Mrs. Lizzie Ware Brown of Macon , Mrs. Vivian D . Cooper of M aeon and Miss Geraldine J . Ware of M aeon ; a host of grand nieces and nephews. B. T.
