She was an only child born to the union of the late Mr. and Mrs. Phil Ray. At an early age she confessed a hope in Christ at the Hopewe II Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership ofthe late Rev. A. Barron. Her eletnentary education was completed in Mississippi. In 1952 she was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Mr. Lee Campbell. The fa1nily moved to Chicago, Illinois in 1943 and Mrs. Campbell joined the Union Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorship of the latP Rev.]. M. Royston. Mrs. Rebecca Campbell departed this life on Friday, April19, 1974. She precedes her late mother in her final transition by three months and five days. Mourning her departure: One daughter; two grandchildren; three aunts; two uncles; a host ofcousins other relatives and dear friends.
