The clock of life is winded but once and no man has the power to tell if the hand will stop at a late or early hour. Now is the only time you know to live to love, and to work with a will. So, place no faith in tomorrow for the clock may then be still. 
Mr. Gerald Callahan, Sr, was born May 21, 1928 in Lawrenceville, GA 
to the late Mr. & Mrs. Phil Callahan, and soon after moved to Atlanta, GA. He received his education in the Atlanta Public Schools. At an early age he joined Turner Monumental A. ME. Church, where he served as a faithful member. 
On April 7, 1948, Mr. Callahan was married to the late Mrs. Eula Mae Cooper Callahan, and to this union, one son, and two daughters were born. 
He was a Scripta employee for more than forty years. Over the years Gerald served on many church organizations as well as a member of neighborhood clubs and leadership. Gerald Callahan departed his life on earth Friday, November 7, 2003. 
He leaves to cherish his memory, one son, Gerald Callahan, Jr ofDecatur, GA; two daughters, Beverly Deloris Madison of College Park, GA, and Pamela Rasheed of Atlanta, GA; eight grandchildren, Lisa Callahan of Stone Mountain, GA, Reginald Callahan of Lithonia, GA, Tameka M Stephens ofCollege Park, GA, Rosa/and and Angelo Madison ofAtlanta, GA, Ronnail Madison( preceded him in death), Marvin Rasheed, II and Kahlia Rasheed ofAtlanta, Ga; two great-grandchildren; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Benny L. Evans (Dorothy) Decatur, GA, Mrs. Loretta Albrittian, and Mrs. Jean C. Dodd of Atlanta, GA; two brothers and three sisters-in-law, Mr.& Mrs. Larry Callahan (Vera) of Riverdale, GA, Mr. & Mrs. Benjamin Callahan (Elizabeth) ofDecatur, GA and Mrs. Betty Callahan ofDecatur, GA, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, numerous ofother relatives and dear friends. 
God saw you were getting weary So he did what he thought was best. 
He came and stood beside you And whispered "Gerald" come and rest. 
You bid no one a last farewell; No, not even a goodbye 
You were gone before we knew it And only God knows why.
