On Sunday, May 8, 1994, MR. GEORGE "Brother" BOSTIC, ill departed this life in Darlington, S.C. after an illness. He was born in Darlington County on November 12, 1941, a son of Mrs. Naomi Coe Bostic and the late George Bostic, Jr. 
He joined New Hopewell Baptist Church. He attended the Darlington County public schools. After graduating from Mayo High School he continued his education at Denmark Technical College in Denmark, S.C. for two years. Later he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps where he received a Purple Heart Medal after being wounded in the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged. 
He was united in marriage to the former Miss Verma Lee Benjamin. This union was blessed with three children. 
Those who shared the joys of life with him and survive to cherish his memory are: his devoted wife, Mrs. Verma Lee Bostic of the home; his loving mother, Mrs. Naomi Coe Bostic of Darlington; three loving children, Scottie (Sarah) Bostic of Orangeburg, S.C., Ms. Georgia Bostic and Ms. Theresa Bostic both of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Lillian B. (Robert) Jackson of Philadelphia, Pa. and Mrs. Connie Madison of Farrockerway, N.Y.; three brothers, Mr. Eugene (Cora) Bostic of Wyndance, N.Y., Mr. James (Lottie) Bostic and Mr. Alexander (Geraldine) Bostic both of Philadelphia, Pa.; fifteen foster brothers and sisters, eight aunts, three uncles, nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
