She married Mr. Willie James "Doc" " Rope" "Boot" Belcher on May 2, 1964. She joined Mt. Zion A. M. E. Church in Mansfield, Georgia at an early age and was a constant bright light at church. She praised God in all four corners of the building-the right side, the left side, the center aisle and as everyone knows, from the choir stand. Sometimes, mind you, in keeping with her duties as a cheerleader for God, she'd walk up and "tap" a pastor or a singer on the shoulder... all to let this person know that he or she was doing a good job. She retired from C. R. Bard after seventeen years, then worked as a dietitian at several Daycare Centers in Newton County. . One grandchild preceded her in death Ms. Brandace Marquita Leslie. Memories of her will be cherished by her devoted husband; Mr. Willie James Belcher, three daughters; Mrs. Cheryl "Sandy" Hill, Mr. & Mrs. Darrell (Lisa) "Lisa Mae" Baker, Mr. & Mrs. Frank (Cindy) "Cimmachelle" Morgan, five grandchildren; Brandon Marquel Leslie, Candace Nicole Leslie, Darrius Terrell Baker, Ashley Nichelle Morgan and Christopher DaRel Baker, (just in case you didn't know, allQrandchildren belonging to Sister Belcher were called "Boogers" one step-_g_randson, Victor Rashad Hill, two brothers; Mr. & rs. Things will be different without you, but we all understand that God has something for you to do. We will all miss your smiling face but we will no lon~er cry because we all know you're tn a better place, even though you're gone, deep down in our hearts, the thought of you will never depart and although things will never be the same, the memories of you will always remain.
