 You bade no one a last farewell You said good bye to none. 
The Heavenly Gates just opened wide And the Master softly said, "Come." 
He knew you were tired And the hills were hard to climb, 
So He gently closed your weary eyes And whispered, "Peace be thine." 
The weary hours, the days of pain, The sleepless nights are past. 
The ever patient worn out frame Has found sweet rest at last. 
 
 Obituary 
 
john David Beasley, the son of the late Mr. and 
 
Mrs. George Ward Beasley, was born january 21, 1947 
 
in Franklin County, Georgia. He accepted Christ as 
 
his savior at an early age and was a member of Melvin 
 
Hill C.M.E. Church. john departed this earthly jour- 
 
ney to enter into eternal peace with his Lord on April 
 
24, 2001.

He was united in holy matrimony to Betty Ann

Crawford-Beasley. john was a faithful spouse, dedicat- 
 
ed father and trusted friend to all who knew him. He

was preceded in death by one son, Terry junior

When God says, "Peace, be still," we all have to obey. I just wanted 
 
to tell each of you not to cry because I am in peace and I was

tired. So, God called me home to be with Him. To all of my family, I love you dearly and I will miss you truly. Remember I am in

a better place and I am free at last. Their will be no more storms 
 
or tears because God said so.

  May I go, now don't you think the time is right? May I say good-bye to pain-filled days and endless, lonely nights? 
I've lived my life and done my best, an example I've tried to be so may I take this step beyond and set my spirit free? 
I'll not be far - I promise that, and hope you'll always know That my spirit will be close to you wherever you may go. 
Thank you so for loving me; you know I loved you, too. That's why it's hard to say good-bye and end this life with you. 
So hold me now, just one more time and let me hear you say Because you care so much for me you'll let me go today.
