Irwin [Senior] of the State \n\u0026 County aforesaid being of sound dis- \n-posing mind \u0026 memory, do make \u0026 declare this to by my last \nwill \u0026 testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made \nI give my soul to God who gave it \u0026 my body to be buried in \na Christian manner agreeably to the wishes of my friends \nItem 1st. I will to my beloved wife Isabella Irwin during her \nnatural life the following property to wit a Negro man named \nJohn, his wife Sophy \u0026 their children, John, Martha, Mandy, Winston \n\u0026 Cordelia, Bob \u0026 his wife Aneka, Another woman named Aneka, \nIsaiah \u0026 his wife Sabra \u0026 Their Child Henry, Jim \u0026 his Wife Eve \n\u0026 their children Jack, Lew. Esaw \u0026 his wife \nJulia, \u0026 my three old Servants Patrick, Dave \u0026 his wife Anna \nall my household \u0026 kitchen furniture, my carriage \u0026 horses \neight plantation Horses or Mules three yoke of Oxen, ten choice \nCows \u0026 Calves \u0026 fifteen head of Stock Cattle, seventy head \nof hogs of the average stock twenty head of sheep set of Black- \n-smith tools, best road wagon, two goods oxe cart \u0026 all the \ngear thereto belonging \u0026 one years support of Provisions of every \nkind for herself \u0026 farm, also all that part of my Real Estate lying \non the East side of the road leading from Lutherville to Crawford \n-ville being that on which I now live together with all the appur- \n-tenances, gun, running gear \u0026c \u0026 such plantation tools \u0026 utensils \nas she may need, also five hundred dollars in cash to be disposed \nof by her as she may think fit \u0026 that it may be fully understood \nI again State that all the above property thus given to my \nbeloved wife (except the five hundred dollars) is for her during \nher natural life \u0026 after her death to fall back into my \nEstate \u0026 be divided as herein after pointed out. \nItem 2nd. I will \u0026 bequeath to my Grand son John Pope \nJohnson two thousand dollars in cash \u0026 five shares \nof Stock in the Georgia rail road Company \n \n[002] \n \nItem 3rd I will \u0026 bequeath to my daughter Louisa T. Crosby for \nher sole \u0026 separate use \u0026 benefit to be in no way used handled or \nenjoyed by her husbands Baylee R. Crosby, with full power rested \nin her to will the same or give it to her children in any \nmanner she may think proper, the sum of forty five Hundred \ndollars in Cash, I hereby appoint her son Edwin Crosby her \nTrustee, but her individual receipt for the above sum shall \nbe a sufficient release to my Executors \n\u0026 I will to my grand daughters Caroline Favor, Ann Reese \n\u0026 Isabella Askew [?], each the sum of nine Hundred dollars in \nCash \u0026 to my grand sons Isaiah \u0026 Davis \u0026 Andrew \u0026 Davis each \nthe sum of Nine hundred dollars for their sole \u0026 separate use. Not \nsubject to past or future debts but to be held by them in Trust \nfor themselves \u0026 children \nItem 4. I will to my two sons Charles M. Irwin \u0026 Isaiah T. Irwin \n[Junior] the balance of my rail road stock not disposed of above \nItem 5th. I will \u0026 desire after the above provisions are carried out \n(my executors being allowed twelve months after my death to \npay off the specific legacies without being chargeable with \ninterest therein) that my grand daughter Martha J. I. Stephens \nshall receive, the one half of one seventh (or one fourteenth) \nof the remainder of my estate \u0026 that all the balance sshall \nbe equally divided among my children, Nancy H. Favor \nCharles M. Irwin, I Irwin [Junior], Martha S. Battle, \u0026 Mary A. Callaway \nwith the understanding that the latter is to give out of her share \nthe sum of five Hundred Dollars to each of her Children Isabella \nBacon, John N. Walton \u0026 William S. Walton, with the further under- \n-standing \u0026 upon the condition that the portions left to my \ndaughters Nancy N. Favor, Mary, A. Callaway \u0026 Martha S. Battle \nare respectively for their sole \u0026 separate use \u0026 benefit, not \nto be subject to the debts default or contracts of their respe- \n-ctive husbands but to be held by their said Husbands In \nTrust as above stated for their sole \u0026 separate use of my \n \n[003] \n \nsaid daughters \u0026 their children. My daughter Nancy Favor \nto have full power to will or give away to her children at \nany time \u0026 whenever she pleases any part or the whole above left \nto her without the consent of her trustee. Item 6th \nI will \u0026 desire that one half of the real estate which I have above left \nto my beloved wife during her natural life be equally divided \nat her death between my two sons Charles M. Irwin \u0026 Isaiah I \nIrwin [Junior] over \u0026 above the rest. \u0026 I also will to my said sons \nafter the death of my wife my three old faithful servants, Patrick \nDave \u0026 his wife Anna, with the request that as they were among \nthe first I ever owned, they shall be well cared for as long as they \nlive. and I will \u0026 desire that the balance of the property willed to \nmy wife during life shall after her death be divided as follows \nto wit My grand daughter Martha I. L. Stephens to receive the \none half of one seventh (or one fourteenth) part thereof and all \nthe balance to be equally divided among my children Nancy \nN. Favor, Charles M. Irwin, Mary. A Callaway, \u0026 Isaiah I. Ervin [Junior] \n\u0026 Martha S. Battle, my said daughters to receive their shares subjects \nto the same trusts \u0026 for the same use \u0026 on the same conditions as \nprovided for in Item 5th. Item 7th. \nI will that for the purpose of an equitable division of my property my \nexecutor shall have full power \u0026 authority to sell the whole or any \npart thereof on the premises or elsewhere at public or private \nsale without any order of court \u0026 they shall also have power \n\u0026 authority to purchase at such sales any property they may desire \n\u0026 I further desire that in dividing my negroes my son Charles \nshall be allowed the privilege of taking in his lot those I purchased \nof [hire?] heretofore, \u0026 I appoint my two sons Charles M.
