She grew up during the segregation and it became part of life for African Americans. She retired as the third vice president from Atlanta Life Company. She helped Andrew Young's campaign for mayor of Atlanta, GA. Ms. Antoinin ran for state representative but she pulled out of the race due to the toll it took on her mental well-being. She was a woman business leader and was very knowledgeable about business.","In this interview Ms. Henrietta Antoinin talks about growing up in Atlanta, Georgia and how the kids felt the way of the life was normal; even though there was segregation. She mentions that at young age, the kids could not understand the inequities. She mentions her interest in politics and how she was an avid reader of the newspaper and somewhat rebellious in her high school as she could not accept the treatment from her white peers. Ms. Antoinin speaks about why she never wanted to leave Atlanta, GA because she felt obligated and committed to her community that had helped her throughout her life. Hill also founded the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Talent Development Program at the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and is now a lifetime member.","In this interview, Hill discusses her life as a civil rights activist alongside her husband, Jesse Hill. She describes early life in Atlanta, discrimination and segregation, the integration efforts in which she was involved, and the civil rights movements which she and her husband supported by bailing out arrested protesters. Trotter's civic engagement has included establishing a number of committees and groups, including being a founding member of the Atlanta Action Forum, a committee comprised of civic minded businessmen working to resolve social problems facing Atlanta.","Mike Trotter continues his discussion with Cliff Kuhn about his involvement with Atlanta civic organizations relating to education, public housing, and criminal justice reform. The discussion picks up where the previous interview left off: staffing the committees meant to steer the contentious, decade-long process of integrating Atlanta's public school system.
