Zion Baptist Church LaGrange, Georgia \nFriday, Ju11e 24, 1966' \n3:30P.M. \nRev. Tom Davidson~ Officiating \n \n OBITUARY \nMr. Ernest R. Wilbur-n was born in Troup County, Ga. He departed this life on June 21, 1966 at City-County Hospital of LaGrange, Georgia. \nHe was a devoted teacher and a great educator for many years. He started his teaching career in Hogansville Community and served there as principal for about 15 years. \nHe also served as a teacher at the East Depot Street School with the LaGrange Public School System. He retired from teaching in 1965 at the East Depot Street Elementary School. \nHe was an outstanding leader in the Western Union Baptist Association and the Tuskegee Institute Alumni Association. He was affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America. \nHe connected himself with Mt. Zion Baptist Church when he was quite young, and served there until death. \nHe was a great man and will be long remembered. \nHe leaves to mourn his passing ; a devoted wife, Mrs. Willie S. CHUROi Saturday - June 4, 1966 - 4:00P.M. \nRev. OIARLBS E. WBLLS, Pastor \n \n / \nPRECISE OF LIFE \nMr. Lawrence Frederick Ware, Sr., the youngest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry H. Ware, departed his life of untiring years celestially on Wednesday morning, june 1, 1966 at the Macon Hospital. \nMr. Ware received his early training from the M. M. Burdell Elementary School, and his secondary \ntraining from the Hud~on High \u0026 Industrial School. \nHaving an ardent mind to make use of these trainings and with the inner abilities possessed, he saw fit to serve the needs of his people, both family and friends, through his physical, mental, spiritual, moral and social strengths. \nAt an early age, he secured a position at the Bibb Manufacturing Co., No.1, serving on a local level for only a few years until higher achievements were established. Later, through the observance of his executive, he was called to a higher position as Clerk where he served in this capacity with efficiency and competency until his departure. \nHis life, being of celestiality and spiritual value caused him to work immeasurably as a faithful and diligent member of the St. Paul A.M.E. Church where he served in the capacities as the youngest Steward, first appointed to the Church, Class leader, and Secretary. He was also affiliated with the Gospel and Senior Choirs of St. Paul. \nFor a period of twenty-nine years, he was a devoted husband of Mrs. Dessie Ola Ware and also manifested his life with devoted attention to his sons and daughters: Lawrence F. Jordan was born in Barnesville, \nGeorgia, daughter of the late John ana Jane Worthy~ She married the late Eddie Jordan at an ear~ age. To this union three sons were born. The family moved to Atlanta a few years later. The youngest and oldest sons passed, leaving one son, Bryant N. Jordan. Mrs. Jordan had joined the Saint Timothy Baptist Church in Barnesville at an early age. After moving to Atlanta, she connected herself with Liberty Baptist Church where she served faithfully until her death. Ware, departed her life of untiring years early Friday morning, January 7, 1966 at her home, 1661 First Avenue. \nMrs. Graham received her trainings from the East Macon Eleme tary School and Ballard Normal High School. From this training she was employed by the Bibb Board of Education to perform her duties as a teacher at the 'Green Street Elem. School. Upon com pleting her secondary training and wmking in the capacity as teacher of the Elem. School, she furthered her education at the Fort Valley State College where she received her B.S. degree. While serving in this capacity for a period o( forty years, lVIrs. Grahmn was the epitome of the ideal teacher that any administrator would desire, on a working staff. She was ideal and competent in man 1er, working seduously and cooperatively as a prompt and efficient teacher; a member of the Bibb County, G.T.E.A., A.Ivi.A. and N.E.A. Associations. \nMrs. Graham was an ardent tnember of the St. Paul A.M.E. Church where she served in the capacities as Sunday School teacher, organist, and member of the choir for a period of years. She was also affiliated with the Phyllis Wheatley Literary Club. He was the son of Mr. Louis Green and ~~rs. Hagar Green. At an early age, his parents moved tn Moro, Arkansas. \n \nOn August 11, 1907, Mr. Green was united in marriage with Miss Mattie Clemncns. In love and happiness this union was closely knitted until his death, October 2, 1965. To their union, two daughters were born, Hrs. Evely Green Freeman and Miss Lennie Carl Green. Each of whon re:presel!ts finer womanhood at its highest . \n \nDuring his stay in More~ Brother Green joined the St. Paul Baptist Church wllere he was ordained to the Deaconship becaus~ of the ereat Christian virtues he exhibited. There he served until 1912. In that year, he moved his family to Atlanta. Shortly after coming tc Atlanta, he and his family joined the Providence . \nBaptist Church. By vrtue of the fine Christian life he again exhibited, the Providence Baptist church appointed him to the Deac0nship and the Trustee Board. In these capacities he gloriously served until his death. Although his health began failing him in his latter years, he continued to serve faithfully and ncbly until his death.
