January 1837 Met in conference in peace
went into the choice of a preacher
when Rev Brother R.
Phillips was found to be the unanimous
choice of the church. The call was
for the Term of Twelve months from
the date above


25th February 1837
Met in conference in peace.
opened a door for the reception of members.


25th March 1837
Met in conference in peace opened
a door to receive members and received
by Letter Bro. Lewis Wiggins and Sister
Sarah Wiggins his wife next appointed
Brethern J. Compton, R. Fields and
E. Compton to represent us in the Union
Meeting Meeting to be held with us on
Friday before the 4th Sunday in April
next.


21st April 1837 Union meeting
the church first set in conferences and
being in order opened a door for the reception
of members and Rcd Joab Barnes by
Experience. The church then gave peace and
Delegates from all the churches
in the 1st Section of our association being
present proceeded to business 1st appointed
a committee to arrange preaching during this
meeting 2 Resolved that the Moderator and Clerk
of the churches where the union meeting
may be held in this Section be moderator and
clerk of the same that is of the union meeting
3rd resolved to hold the next union meeting
____ 1st section with the Church at
_____ on Friday before Sunday

27th May 1837 Met in conference
which opened singing and prayer
1st inquired for fellowship then Sister
Janie Humphrey had complaint against
Sister Sarah Tidwell charging her
with speaking many harsh things to her
in Terms calculated to destroy that
Christian fellowship which had formerly
existed between them the church took
up the charge and after some investigation
appointed a committee to attend to the
case and report to next meeting the
following Brethern were appointed that
committee viz B. Jones, J. Caloway,
L. Wiggins, W. N. Flynn and T. M. Bagby.


24th June 1837 Meeting in conference
when 1st the committee appointed last meeting
reported that they had had the parties together
and had succeeded in effecting a
Reconciliation between them.
2nd Inquired into the fellowship of the church
when Brother J. Curbow handed in a
charged against Brother A. Humphrey
accusing him with attempting to slander
the females generally of this church
by saying he could easily seduce any
or all of them to act with him
in accordance with his carnal wishes
the charge was taken up and the
following committee appointed to examine
into the case and report to next meeting
Viz. E. Bagby, J. Barker, T. M. Bagby,
W. N. Flynn and J Compson
