- Talisman Garden Club was established in 1952 as part of the Elms and Roses Garden Council. Talisman has sponsored and participated in numerous flower shows and in addition, has supported school and community activities in LaGrange. Throughout the years, members have beautified school campuses, identified trees at schools for students to study on nature walks and have had ongoing Florence Hand Nursing Home projects. Among current projects, members also provide bird houses and bird food at Poplar Creek At Home and Christmas trees are set up and decorated at the Enoch Callaway Cancer Clinic and at West GA Oncology.
