- George M. Forrester Papers: Son of F.R. and Irene Combs Whitaker. (1921 - 1954). University of North Carolina. During World War II, he served on a destroyer escort in the South Pacific. Died of iatrogenic causes in May 1954 from sustained injuries during the war.
