- The West Point Woman’s Club has had many homes during its time, first meeting in hotel parlors, and then in the club room of the City Auditorium. The club was chartered in 1912, after first being formed in 1898. Its goals were “social, literary and humanitarian.” The activities of the club included establishing Hawkes Library and the bonds for the school building.
