HB 380 by Representative Tanner of the 9th CITY OF DAWSONVILLE: This bill provides for the election of the Dawsonville City Council members by district.
HB 453 by Representative Bruce of the 61st DOUGLAS COUNTY: This bill authorizes Douglas County to exercise all redevelopment and other powers under Article IX, Section II, Paragraph VII(b) of the Constitution and O.C.G.A. 3644.
SB 5 by Senator Anderson of the 24th LINCOLN COUNTY: This bill provides for the assets and liabilities of the Lincoln County Recreation Authority.
PURSUANT TO ARTICLE VII, SECTION II, PARAGRAPH IV OF THE STATE CONSTITUTION, THE FOLLOWING LOCAL BILLS RELATING TO HOMESTEAD
EXEMPTIONS REQUIRE A TWO-THIRDS ROLL-CALL VOTE FOR PASSAGE:
HB 423 by Representative Bazemore of the 63rd CITY OF SOUTH FULTON: This bill provides a new homestead exemption, which has the effect of a valuation freeze, from city of South Fulton ad valorem taxes.
HB 430 by Representative Martin of the 49th CITY OF ALPHARETTA: This bill eliminates the income restriction for the $10,000 homestead exemption for residents in the city of Alpharetta who are 65 and older.
HB 431 by Representative Martin of the 49th CITY OF ALPHARETTA: This bill raises a city of Alpharetta homestead exemption for all residents from $40,000 to $45,000 for all taxable years beginning on or after January 1, 2020.
