Cairo-Grady County Employer Committee schedules seminar on labor laws
ATLANTA The Cairo-Grady County Employer Committee and the Georgia Department of Labor's Cairo Career Center will co-sponsor a seminar on federal labor laws, as well as related state laws, for employers in the area.
The seminar will be held Tuesday, July 10, from 8 a.m. until 12 noon in the Grady Room of the Roddenbery Memorial Library, located at 320 North Broad St. in Cairo.
Jonathan Martin of Macon, a partner with a national law firm, Constangy, Brooks & Smith, LLC, will lead the seminar. It will focus on Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the National Labor Relations Acts (NLRA), and wage and hour issues covered by the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
