Labor department schedules U.I. seminar in Douglas
ATLANTA The Georgia Department of Labor's Douglas Career Center and Douglas Area Employer Committee will co-sponsor a seminar on unemployment insurance laws for employers in the area.
The seminar will be held Thursday, April 5, from 8-11:30 a.m. at the C. E. Weir Center, located at 307 East Bryan St. in Douglas.
Wanda Hollis of Atlanta, an unemployment insurance policy analyst with the Georgia Department of Labor, will lead the seminar and present an overview of the state's unemployment insurance program.

The employer committee is a group of local business representatives who establish and maintain a working relationship between the employer community and the career center.
