Bainbridge area employer seminar scheduled
ATLANTA The Georgia Department of Labor's Bainbridge Career Center, the Southwest Georgia Employer Committee, and Bainbridge College will sponsor a seminar on federal laws in the workplace for employers in the area.
The seminar will be held Tuesday, Nov. 14, from 8-11:30 a.m. on the Bainbridge College campus, 2500 East Shotwell St. and U.S. Highway 84 East in Decatur County.
W. Jonathan Martin, II, a partner in the law firm of Constangy, Brooks, and Smith in Macon, will conduct the seminar. The seminar will focus on laws that deal with discrimination in the workplace. Included are the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and the Civil Rights Act.
