ED LONG OF ALBANY WINS LVER OF YEAR AWARD FROM VFW
ATLANTA -- Ed Long, a Local Veterans Employment Representative (LVER) in the Georgia Department of Labor's Albany office, recently received the Georgia Department of Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) LVER Award from State VFW Senior Vice Commander Fred Engelhardt of Macon. State Department of Labor Assistant Veterans Coordinator Charlie Crawford of Atlanta also participated in award ceremonies recently in Macon. The award is given annually to the LVER who makes the most outstanding contributions to veterans. LVERs are in 53 labor department offices throughout the state. Long also recently received the LVER of the Year Award from the Georgia Chapter of the International Association of Personnel in Employment Security (IAPES), the professional organization of the state labor department.
