CORDELE CAREER CENTER WINS OFFICE OF THE YEAR AWARD FROM VFW
ATLANTA -- Anthony West, supervisor of the Georgia Department of Labor's Cordele Career Center, recently received the Georgia Department of Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Office of the Year Award from State VFW Senior Vice Commander Fred Engelhardt of Macon. State Department of Labor Assistant Veterans Coordinator Charlie Crawford of Atlanta also participated in award ceremonies recently in Macon. The award is given annually to the state labor department office that makes the most outstanding contributions to veterans. There are 53 labor department offices throughout Georgia. The Cordele Career Center also recently received the Office of the Year Award from the Georgia Chapter of the International Association of Personnel in Employment Security (IAPES), the professional organization of the state labor department, for its contributions to veterans.
