LABOR DEPARTMENT'S MACON OFFICE TO SPONSOR YOUTH JOB FAIR THURSDAY, MAY 25
ATLANTA -- State Labor Commissioner Michael Thurmond said today that the Georgia Department of Labor's Macon office and the Georgia Division of Rehabilitative Services will cosponsor a youth job fair this week for young people between the ages of 16 and 21.
The job fair will be held Thursday, May 25, in the labor department's Macon office at 3090 Mercer University Drive from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
About 15 employers, including the Cherokee County Sheriff's Department, the U.S. Marine Corps, McDonalds, Snelling Personnel, Telemarketing Concepts, Georgia Army National Guard, and ATS Staffing, are expected to attend. Openings include full-time and part-time positions for summer work and year-round jobs.
Applicants should bring copies of their resume or work history, dress appropriately, and be prepared to interview.
Also, applicants must be able to produce a Georgia driver's license or valid picture identification, along with a Social Security card or birth certificate. Original documents, not copies, will be required. For more information, applicants may call the labor department's Macon office at (912) 751-6164.
