YOUTH JOB FAIR SET FOR SATURDAY, APRIL 29, IN DEKALB COUNTY

ATLANTA -- The Georgia Department of Labor's DeKalb County office, along with other agencies, will co-sponsor a job fair next week in Decatur to help youth between the ages of 16 and 21 find summer and part-time jobs.

The youth job fair is set for Saturday, April 29, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Rehoboth Education Center's auditorium at 2652 Lawrenceville Highway, one-half mile inside I-285. Youth may take MARTA bus number 75 from the Avondale Estates station to the job fair.

Employers from hotels, manufacturers, supermarkets, department stores, restaurants, and other industries will be on hand to take applications and conduct interviews. Youth must have U.S. Social Security cards and show proof of age.

In addition to the labor department, the youth job fair also will be sponsored by DeKalb's Private Industry Council (PIC), employer committee, public school system, and other county governmental agencies.
