LABOR DEPARTMENT TO SPONSOR JOB FAIR THURSDAY FOR SUPER BOWL

ATLANTA -- The Georgia Department of Labor and Contemporary Services Corp. will cosponsor a job fair this week to fill more than 2,700 temporary jobs for the Super Bowl, scheduled to be held Jan. 30 at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.

The job fair will be held from 4-8 p.m. at the labor department's South Metro office at 2636-14 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr.

Contemporary Services Corp. is the temporary employment agency for Super Bowl XXXIV. During the week leading up to the Super Bowl, the company will provide security for all official National Football League (NFL) property and events, such as team practices, players association meetings, youth clinics, press conferences and hotel activities. On game day, the company will handle crowd management, access control and security for the game itself.

In addition to security personnel, some of the openings include jobs as ticket sellers and takers, ushers, supervisors and staff for various events.

Salaries range from $6.50 to $25 an hour.
