PLANS AND PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT
CHILD FATALITY SYSTEM REVIEW PROJECT
Project Description - The Child Fatality Review (CFR) unit requested an enhancement to their current process to capture Medical Examiners (ME) data for child related deaths in the State of Georgia and have asked for additional reporting capabilities.
Monthly Update - The developer continues coding for the application on the Coroner Report Interface and ID Database.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE EXCHANGE PROJECT (CJEP)
Project Description - CJEP will incorporate the electronic exchanges of information between state and local criminal justice agencies in Georgia and will involve the coordination of multiple agencies and vendor applications. The goals of the project are to create seamless connections between systems, establish a single, consistent architecture adopted to guide all aspects of program implementation and to establish a governance structure that views criminal justice as a statewide community.
Monthly Update - The project team is working with vendors and agencies to support ongoing exchanges in all environments. Phase 1 Rollout Statement of Needs (SONs) were released to vendors end of July with an expected response date of 8/13. GTA and the PMO are reaching out to vendors to obtain the final SONs. Testing continues across the board for Sentence Order v1.7. Gordon County made progress and released into production both CCH Charge Update v1.9 and NotifyCourt v1.7. The next Executive Governance Meeting is September 4.
CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT (CRM)
Project Description - The CRM Application Project will provide a single source of historical interaction with GCIC external customers. The application will give GCIC end users the ability to search, track and report customer interactions throughout GCIC's business units.
Monthly Update - The CRM project continues to collect the GCIC manager information/unit documents to present to developer to assist in preparing upload before testing begins. Removal of duplicate agencies from the agency contact Excel database is projected to continue through September 2019.
CUSTOMER SUPPORT & TRAINING
Project Description - The Customer Support Training group provides training in GCIC programs, GCIC applications, GCIC/FBI compliance to criminal justice agencies across the State of Georgia. The group extends the option to receive classroom training or training within an e-Learning environment.
Monthly Update - The trainings completed online and within the classrooms for the month are included in the charts. The LMS Staff handled 88 phone calls, 1,113 emails, processed 20 crystal reports and managed LMS user account additions.

DEPARTMENT OF DRIVER SERVICES (DDS) - CARD PRODUCTION SERVICES (CPS) Project Description - The Department of Driver Services is working with a new vendor on a card production service. The new system will provide GCIC with a driver's license (DL)/ID photograph when a driver inquiry is performed. The latest image for a DL number will be retrieved by GCIC via a web service call. Monthly Update - GCIC worked with DDS on a few minor issues. The project has concluded.
GEORGIA APPLICANT PROCESSING SERVICE (GAPS) PROJECT Project Description - The Georgia Crime Information Center Information Services is seeking to obtain the services of a qualified and experienced vendor to provide an applicant fingerprinting solution that will electronically capture and submit applicant fingerprints to the Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS). In addition, the selected vendor shall handle receiving fingerprint search results and disseminate the results to the requestor. Monthly Update - The vendor continues testing to complete UAT.
HUMAN RESOURCE (HR) TIMESHEET PROJECT Project Description - Enhancement of the application used by non-sworn units of the GBI for tracking time. Monthly Update - No accomplishments for this reporting period. Some requirements are still under development and projected to be completed within 30 days; tested within 60 days of completion.
NATIONAL INCIDENT-BASED REPORTING SYSTEM (NIBRS) PROJECT Project Description - The National Incident Based Reporting System (NIBRS) collects data on each single incident and arrest for each offense coming to the attention of law enforcement for which specific facts about each crime is collected. GBI is in the process of replacing the current UCR summary-based system with an application that will collect incident-based data. Monthly Update - The error data set (EDS) file cleanup, which included resolutions to uploaded errors has been completed. The vendor is working on the 3rd NIBRS Publication Review draft and developing the user interface for NIBRS web publication and the NIBRS validation specification application. Agency XML file uploads will be processed by vendor for the next 6 months and the vendor will be implementing the latest version of NIBRS XML 2019.1. The process for obtaining FBI XML Certification is ongoing.

RAP BACK PROJECT Project Description - The Rap Back project will provide the ability to receive ongoing status notifications of criminal history activity reported on individuals holding positions of trust. Georgia's Rap Back System will include the retention of applicant fingerprints, the implementation of an FBI Rap Back Subscription on such prints, and the creation of a validation process for authorized entities to manage such subscriptions. Monthly Update - NEC will ensure IP addresses are made available as needed to all parties involved in the Rap Back project. The baseline schedule provided by NEC was approved by GBI. NEC has begun T-Net development for Rap Back. SEX OFFENDER REGISTRY TOOL (SORT) ENHANCEMENT PROJECT Project Description - Continued enhancements to SORT application to meet the needs of local law enforcement and public. Monthly Update - No accomplishments for this reporting period. GCIC continues to wait on Watch Systems to conduct the network connectivity test. GCIC is ready to complete testing; however, Watch Systems is completing internal tasks that have delayed the project.
