EXECUTIVE ORDER
BY THE GOVERNOR:
FLAGS ON STATE CAPITOL BUILDING AND IN RICHMOND COUNTY ORDERED LOWERED TO HALF-STAFF
WHEREAS: WHEREAS: WHEREAS:

Richmond County Sheriffs Office Investigator Cecil Dwayne Ridley, 51, was killed in the line of duty on November 19, 2019; and
Inv. Ridley honorably served the citizens of Richmond County for more than 17years. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army; and
It is fitting and proper to recognize Inv. Ridley's service to Richmond County and the State of Georgia by lowering the flags on the State Capitol building and in Richmond County to half-staff.
NOW, THEREFORE, IN HONOR OF AND AS A MARK OF RESPECT FOR THE MEMORY OF INVESTIGATOR CECIL DWAYNE RIDLEY, PURSUANTTOTHEAUTHORITYVESTEDINMEASGOVERNOROFTHE STATE OF GEORGIA, IT IS HEREBY
That the flag of the United States and the flag of the State of Georgia be flown at half-staff on the State Capitol building and in Richmond County on Tuesday, November 26, 2019, the day of Inv. Ridley's interment.
