EXECUTIVE ORDER
BY THE GOVERNOR:

The State of Georgia holds title to and the Georgia Forestry Commission is the custodian of 24.26 acres of real property located in Toombs County as described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and by reference made a part hereof; and
Said property is a portion of the Page Nursery and said portion is underutilized by the Georgia Forestry Commission; and
The College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at the university of Georgia has identified the subject property as an excellent site to conduct additional research and extension programs in the legally defined Vidalia onion production area; and
By resolution dated June 21, 1999 the Georgia Forestry Commission requested that custody of the subject 24.26 acres be transferred to the Board of Regents for a period not to exceed 15 years; and
By letter, dated July 16, 1999, the President of the University of Georgia requested that the subject property be transferred to the Board of Regents for use by the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at the University of Georgia for a period of 15 years.
NOW, THEREFORE, PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME AS GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, IT IS HEREBY
That the custody of the above-described property be and the
same is hereby transferred from the Georgia Forestry Commission to the Board of Regents for a period not to exceed 15 years.
