THE STATE OF GEORGIA
EXECUTIVE ORDER
BY THE GOVERNOR:
WHEREAS:
The 1999 Georgia General Assembly passed Senate Bill 24 1, creating the Department of Community Health and reestablishing the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners as a separate agency independent of the Office of Secretary of State but attached to the Department of Community Affairs for administrative purposes; and
WHEREAS:
Senate Bill 241 provides that the terms of office of the members of the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners serving on June 30, 1999, shall expire July 1, 1999, and that successors shall be appointed for new terms of office as specified in Senate Bill 241; and
WHEREAS: Senate Bill 241 was signed by me on April 19,1999, as Act 268 and became effective July 1, 1999; and
WHEREAS:
By executive order dated June 30, 1999, the terms of the members of the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners serving on June 30, 1999, were extended until August 1, 1999, and until such date and upon the appointment and qualification of their respective successors;
NOW THEREFORE, PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME AS GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, IT IS HEREBY
ORDERED: That, in accordance with Senate Bill 241, the following named persons be, and they are hereby, appointed as members of the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners to serve terms of office expiring as indicated below:
