Executive order [July 30, 1999]

THE STATE OF GEORGIA
EXECUTIVE ORDER

BY THE GOVERNOR:

WHEREAS: Yesterday, July 29, 1999, the City of Atlanta and the State of Georgia witnessed an unspeakable tragedy; and

WHEREAS: The victims and their families are suffering great loss and indescribable pain; and

WHEREAS: The people of the State of Georgia join with those grieving families.

NOW, THEREFORE, PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME AS GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, IT IS HEREBY

ORDERED:

That the flag of the United States and the flag of this state be flown at half-staff on all buildings and grounds throughout Capitol Hill from this date until sunset on Friday, July 30, 1999.
