THE STATE OF GEORGIA
EXECUTIVE ORDER
BY THE GOVERNOR:
WHEREAS: There is located on the southwest portion of the "Bill" E. Ireland Youth Development Campus a certain brick veneer, single story structure more commonly referred to as Building 70; and
WHEREAS: The structure is no longer used as staff housing and renovation of the building to make it suitable for other use is not economically feasible; and
WHEREAS: The building is located inside the perimeter fence and is a security and safety hazard: and
WHEREAS:
The Board of Juvenile Justice at its meeting on February 23, 1999, declared by resolution that said structure could not longer be used advantageously by the Department of Juvenile Justice and that demolition was in the best interest of the Department: and it is hereby
ORDERED:
That the appropriate staff of the Department of Juvenile Justice, acting under the approval of its Commissioner, be directed to have said structure demolished and all building materials removed from the premises as expeditiously as possible.
