Executive order [Feb. 19, 1999A]

THE STATE OF GEORGIA
EXECUTIVE ORDER

BY THE GOVERNOR:

WHEREAS:

Mr. Joel E. Harrell, III, Resident Vice President of Norfolk Southern Corporation, has made application for appointment of John M. Attaway as Special Officer of the State of Georgia; and

WHEREAS:

It appears that said application is in due form and in compliance with the terms of an Act of the General Assembly approved March 19, 1935 (Georgia Laws 1935, p. 465) as amended (O.C.G.A. 46-8-230 through 232).

NOW, THEREFORE, PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME AS GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, PARTICULARLY BY VIRTUE OF THE PROVISIONS OF THE AFORESAID ACT, IT IS HEREBY

ORDERED:

That the above-named person be and he is hereby appointed as a Special Officer, Norfolk Southern Railway Company, with duties and powers as provided by the terms of the Act cited above, as long as he is in the employ of said company, all as provided by law.

IT IS FURTHER

ORDERED:

That the Secretary of State is hereby authorized and directed t issue a commission to the above-named person.
