FOOTPRINTS
One night a m an had a dream . He dream ed he w as w alking along the beach w ith the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sond -- one b elonging to him and the other to the Lord. W hen the last scene had flash ed before him, he looked back at the footprints and noticed that m any times along the path there w as only one set of footprints in the san d. He also noted that this hcppened during the low est and saddest times in his life. This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord, "Lord, you said thal once I decided to fo llo w you, you would w a lk all the w ay but i noticed that during the most troublesom e times of my life, there w as only one set of footprints. I don't understand w hy w hen I needed you the most, you deserted m e." The Lord replied, "My precious child, I love you and would never leave you. During your tim es of trial and su ffe rin g w h e n you see only one set of fo o t prints, it w a s th en th at I c a r r ie d y o u . "
Tribute
Mother, it broke our hearts to lose you But vou did not go alone, For part of us went with you The day God called you home. To see you face to face and watch you smile, To sit and talk with you a while To be together in the same old way Would be our greatest wish today. You left too suddenly - without a good-bye, But you left us memories that will never die. God gave us strength to bear it And courage to face the blow, But what it means to lose you No one will ever know.
With Love, Your Children
