was bom in Augusta, GA to Philip and Lillie Mitchell. He was educated in the Richmond County School System. He was baptized at Beulah Grove Baptist Church at an early age. He also attended Lucy C. Laney High School and received a degree in Science.
Survivors include three children, Terris (Nikisha) Brigham, Terris sditchell, Jr., and Tamara N. Mitchell, all o f Augusta, GA; his deeply devoted mother, Lillie R. Mitchell; two brothers, Willie F. (Onie) Jowns and Joseph L. (Rose) Mitchell; two sisters, Gail Mitchell (Barry) Stewart and Sharon A. Mitchell, all of Augusta, GA; devoted hunts, Mary N. Beard, Mamie Smith, Frankie L. (Carroll) brown,
j Augusta, GA; uncle, Robert (Mattie) Graham; a very dear
grandmother, Carolyn Watson-Williams, Columbia, SC and a host o f Pieces, nephews, cousins, friends and a dear friend, Vivian Walker.
He was preceded in death by his father, Philip Mitchell.
