In Loving Memory of My Father!
One thing that I have learned is one should never give up. RobertS. Toney Sr. was a hard working and devoted father very easy going even through times of distress when I would be stubborn and ungrateful, the doors where open because I'm his boy.
As far as I can remember, my father has always been there. At times he could be quite inconsistent (as we all are at times). Remember nobody's perfect. His honesty, consciousness, and gentle words to calm your fear helped you get through your morning, why does it seem there are short good byes and long farewells? You can ask your higher being a million times for a material lifestyle, fancy cars, and unlimited amounts of money. You know, the quest that you think is living. I am perfectly convinced that Robert Toney Sr. was satisfied. He was not infatuated with any of that. He was happy and comfortable when we would have and intellectual conversation. I would approach him with a problem before we finish talking I would have an answer to the question asked, and so fast. He would not talk unless it was something beneficial and educational. "Read, write, no one owes you life. Work for what you want, better yourself," I took a lot of thought as he would: don't make the same mistakes he made. Listen and take opportunity as far as you can.
I love you forever; you looked so peaceful and comfortable!
Robert Toney Jr.
