Expressions of Gratitude
The family of the late Dr. Constance Patrick would like to thank you for your calls, cards, condolences and prayers
shared during this time ofbereavement.

On August 6, 1952 in the dead of a Georgia summer at 7:30 in the evening inside Charity Hospital with loved ones and family eagerly awaiting word 9 months of waiting and praying finally became life, but not just any life. A life anointed. A life that would change lives. On this day Constance M. Patrick breathed her first breath outside the womb. Ifyou knew her you knew love, ifyou met her you met honesty, and ifshe befriended you, you had a friend for life. The Bible says, "let the redeemed of the Lord say so" and she did every chance she got, and we were all blessed to have known her.
Connie moved to Newark, New Jersey in 1955, where she blossomed into a stunningly beautiful young woman who graduated from West Side High School in 1970. It's important that we touch on the climate of the time so that you can truly understand the cross she bore. Living in a city still dealing with the riots of 1967, it is fair to say that she dealt with multiple pressures and outside influences but never lost her focus. Science tells us it is the pressure of the earth against coal for thousands of years that create a diamond, but in Connie's case it didn't take anywhere near that long. She was a diamond from the time she was born until the time she went home.
By 1974, she was a young single mother who still managed to graduate from Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School and sign on to work for AT& T where she would be employed for 27 years. Now amother oftwo and never satisfied Connie began her most important journey of all. Her journey to know her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on a personal and intimate level, and all that knew her would say she accomplished that. As ayoung woman in New Jersey, she was amember of

Wells Cathedral Church of God In Christ. Her impact will be felt for years to come. Her insightful teaching and endearing personality drew people to her, and she never turned anyone away. It was this deep love for the people around her that makes this woman so special. If ever anyone deserved to hear the words "Well Done" it was Constance M. Patrick.
Connie left AT&T to join Bank of America. Still never satisfied Connie burned the midnight oil . o receive her doctorate in the year 2000. Shortly thereafter, she founded the New Bethel Bible Institute and the \Vord of Life Bible College.
Connie studied in tenacity, principles and working a plan until it comes into fruition. She was an angel on earth given to us for a brief time so that we could truly understand that excuses will never be tolerated and that the body can do whatever the spirit tells. Most of all she showed us that GOD IS.
Connie leaves to follow her path two sons, Lamar Hill and Omar Ar-rington; her mother, Mary McCloud; two grandsons, Legin and Jason; one brother, Reggie McCloud; two special nieces, Lenette and Lovette McCloud; one aunt and uncle who will continue to hold her in their hearts forever.

I'm Free
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free. I'm following the path God laid for me. I took His hand when I heard His call.
I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work or play. Task left undonemust stay that way. Ifound that peace at the close ofthe day. Ifmy parting has left avoid, Then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss Ah yes, these things I too, will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow. I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full, I savored much, Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, Don't lengthen it now with undue grief Lift up your heart and share with me. God wanted me now, He set me free.
